New Features in ShopSite 10 sp1

Back Office

• UI and Navigation (Pro, Manager, Starter)
  ShopSite's Backoffice has received a face-lift and can now be navigated through optional drop-down menus. Don't worry! The old look and feel is still available if you want to go back.
• Product Upload with Excel Spreadsheet (Pro, Manager)
  You can now upload product information using Microsoft Excel (.xls) spreadsheets.
• Export (Pro, Manager)
  Export your ShopSite configuration and database files in a compressed format to a local computer. This provides a failsafe backup for your data.
• Publish Auxiliary Files (Pro, Manager)
  There is now a ‘publish’ directory under the merchant’s output directory where custom CSS and JavaScript, as well as that used by the themes, can be found.
• Multiple Image Upload (Pro, Manager, Starter)
  Merchants can upload multiple images at once. IE users get a new flash interface for the upload.
• Assign Products to Page Improvement (Pro)
  The way in which products are added to a page has been improved, allowing merchants to handle large lists of products with relative ease.
• Store Navigation Menu (Pro, Manager)
  Drop-down menu can be provided to your customers to simplify site navigation, helping them find what they are looking for faster.
• Global Layout Customization (Pro, Manager)
  Global colors, images, fonts, etc. for stores can now be set by the merchant.
• 9 New Themes (Pro, Manager, Starter)
  There are nine new themes for merchants to pick from when creating their web site. They are: Sleek, Fade, Slate with Accent, Wallpaper, Swish On White, Swish On Black, Dots, Leaf, and Thick Border. Additionally, older themes have been updated to take advantage of the new features in this service pack.

Commerce Tools

• Share with Friends (Pro, Manager)
  Formerly called "Tell A Friend", recent integration with addthis.com allows your customers to share their shopping experiences on popular social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace.
• Wishlist (Pro, Manager)
  Integration with wishpot.com now provides your customers with access to wish lists and gift registries.
• eBay Turbo Lister Support (Pro, Manager)
  Selling your products on eBay is even easier, as you can now export your products in an eBay Turbo Lister format.
• OrderAnywhere URLs (Pro, Manager, Starter)
  In addition to showing the HTML or Add to Cart button you can now get an order URL to insert into your 3rd-party publishing system.
• Cross-sell Products on More Info Pages (Pro)
  Cross-sell products can now be placed on an item's "More Info" page. Global Cross-sell Products can now be placed on any page.
• Recurring Billing with Authorize.Net (Pro, Manager)
  With Authorize.net, you can now provide subscription-based services to your customers as well as other products that use a recurring billing model.
• Check Payment Field Options (Pro, Manager, Starter)
  If you accept physical checks, you can now display your mailing address on the billing screen. Requiring a check's routing and account numbers is no longer mandatory.
• AvaTax Integration (Pro, Manager, Pro)
  ShopSite has partnered with Ava Tax to provide you with on-the-fly and up-to-date tax calculations.
• Tax API (Pro)
  Developers can integrate their own tax calculation software with ShopSite through a new API.

Security/Reliability

• Product Images on Order Detail/Packing Slip (Pro, Manager)
  To improve the accuracy of customer orders, product images can now be displayed on the order detail page and on packing slips.

Payment Gateways

• Plug'nPay (Pro, Manager, Starter)
  The Plug'nPay payment gateway is now supported by ShopSite.
• FirstData Global Gateway (Pro, Manager, Starter)
  Formerly known as LinkPoint and YourPay, FirstData Global Gateway is supported by ShopSite.
• Expedited Google Checkout (Pro, Manager, Starter)
  Streamline the checkout procedure for your Google Checkout customers and bypass the pre-order screen.

Feature Enhancements

• OrderAnywhere by SKU in Manager (Pro, Manager)
  OrderAnywhere by SKU is now available to ShopSite Manager merchants.
• Variable Product Pricing in Manager (Pro, Manager)
  Variable Product Pricing is now available to ShopSite Manager merchants.
• Product Page Auto-generation from Doba Watchlists (Pro, Manager, Starter)
  Doba Watch Lists can now be used to automatically create new product pages.
• Multiple Image and Thumbnail Support for More Info Pages (Pro, Manager)
  Merchants can now display up to 20 images on their product more info page. The images can be thumbnails that display a larger image as you move your mouse over the thumbnail.
• Additional Multi-purpose Fields for Products and Pages (Pro, Manager)
  The number of "Extra Fields" available for products and pages has been increased from 10 fields to 25 fields.
• Page and Product Sorting (Pro)
  The page and product sorting that occurs when publishing site content can now be done on other fields such as "Extra Fields".
